Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior fighting skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina took a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via unanimity. Antonina recovered from this loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
