Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous vote. Antonina followed it up with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She took home at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was achieved by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO, and then won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a break from MMA so that she could focus on boxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior fighting skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina took a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via unanimity. Antonina recovered from this loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
